My story: Vegtastic Philanthropy is predicated on wealth and social position. Poor Philanthropist has neither, but worked ‘as-if’ from a NSF nuclear physics course at Vassar, to 5 failing semesters at Princeton, I dropped out at Woodstock Nation, and bottomed out for three years. A clerk at Miami Dade Community College enrolled me in Buckminster Fuller’s World Games (Philadelphia, 1973.) When I won Bucky autographed my receipt. When Florida International U handed me a B.S.E. (1975) I said goodbye to futurist Prof. Jay S. Mendel, my mentor. Tucker Associates launched as my design/invention/marketing company. I failed to complete the prototype for my 2020 Locator System. A travelling sales rep and VP Sales at Italia Imports Group, I became a middleman-broker for Cuban ex pat commodities trader, then a Jamaican named George Merrick. I marketed products and services from containerized meat to refrigeration plants and renamed as Tucker Sales Associates. I spent 1990 promoting my global commerce platform, ShowCase USA. but Hurricane Andrew changed everything. With Guyanese partner Jai Aparbal I opened Window Man Construction, and El Cheapo Warehouse. After the community was rebuilt Broker Resource Corp. became strictly white-collar employing me as: Certified Computer Programmer and Licensed Mortgage broker, Businss Broker and Commercial Realtor. Thanks to Gloria Jackerson, Toby Vanderbilt and Laurence M. Gould the S&L Crisis was good to me. During 150 projects/representations I partnered with former FDIC Chairman Dan Wall, WV Transporation Undersecretary Glen Knapp, Group W Chairman James Whitelock. After all the big deals eluded me, I dropped back to pun in Century 21, Commercial. Broker Resource Corp. became In-house consultant to Nalith, Inc. which ordered me to to startup Save The Earth Ecocenter, Inc. Our joint venture went onto strictly nonprofit operations, including V BRC innovated and implemented vCommerce full-time since 2018.
