Heavenly Eating Lifestyle and The Immune System

The American College of Preventive Medicine defines Lifestyle Medicine as “evidence- based therapeutic approach to prevent, treat and reverse lifestyle-related chronic diseases.”  In addition, Ancestral Wisdom shared by Skybow, Sioux Medicine Man, considers the Whole person based on 4 dimensions of well-being: 1. Physical – Green, 2. Emotional – Red, Mental – Blue. 4. Spiritual – White.  On my life journey, I adopted a w wholistic plant-based lifestyle that led me to live and write my e-book called Heavenly Eating with 70 live food gluten-free whole food plant-based recipes for People and Planet> vegtastic.co/heavenly

 1. Physical Well-being

The immune system consists of a group of defense cells called lymphocytes.  Gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) represents almost 70% of the entire immune system. Therefore, live food, unfired, rich in enzymes & phytonutrients, naturally-cultured or cooked not to exceed 118 F, helps your body maintain alkalinity, balance and health.  Dr. Robert Young, author of the PH Miracle, recommends a diet of 80% alkalizing and 20% acidifying food.  Whole food plant-based meals cooked with no oils, low in salt and sugar, satisfies the 20% criteria.

Dr. T. Colin Campbell, author of Whole, suggests eating close to nature.  Heavenly  Eating e-book has a variety of tasty and healthy live food whole food plant-based  recipes to choose from.  The 70 recipes are divided into 11 chapters including 2 sample day menus and resources. There are 7 recipes, one for each day of the week, in each chapter.  These are: Beverages, Blended Food, Appetizers, Dressings & Sauces, Pates, Soups, Salads, Entrees, Desserts and Kid’s menu.  For a complete boost of your physical well-being include adequate water, sleep, exercise, sunshine and time in nature.

2. Emotional Well-being

Your physical body is also affected by your emotions. Fear, anxiety, depression and stress activate high levels of cortisol and damage your immune system.  Your body is 70% water and your voice vibration may influence your emotional balance and raise the Serotonin level in blood.

Keiichiro Kita, creator of the Peace Machine with Hideho Arita from the Department of Physiology, Toho University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan conducted a research study with a group of participants measuring the concentration of serotonin in the blood before, immediately after, and 30 minutes after the application of sonic vibration energy. Serotonin levels in blood showed significant changes and a spontaneous happiness from within.

Also, Dr. Masuru Emoto’s water experiment showed that positive emotions and speech create pleasing frozen water crystals while negative create ugly   crystal formations. Emoto’s theory claimed that water can respond to human emotions.  Oxytocin known as the love hormone modulate fear, anxiety and social behaviors, so engaging in personal and social activities that foster positive emotions can help in times of distress and uncertainty.
